"The heart of the inert gas generator is the burner, where the combination of complete combustion and rugged simplicity is obtained. By the spacial gas flow pattern the combustion is "A Triplex function design is employed for the scrubber unit which contains venturi scrubber, wet filter and spray section for high-efficiency cooling and cleaning of boiler flue gas. The outlet of gas temperature is close to that of seawater, while the sulphur content of the gas will be almost entirely removed. Even when using a heavy fuel oil, normal readings are around 10 ppm of SO2 + SO3. A demister section removes the liquid water, and carry-over of water droplets is less than one g per kg of dry gas."
